If you want to help, there's a place for you at Educational First Steps (EFS)! You can provide vital support by donating your time and talents at our headquarters or the many child care centers we assist. There are as many volunteer opportunities at EFS as there are people who want to share.

Read for the Record - October 8 - 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

• National literacy event

• Help with crowd control

• Escort children from buses to location of event

Literacy Day at the Zoo - November 8

• Help with registration

• Pass out books and bags to children

• Help vendors with set up

• Direct families to specified locations

Thanks for giving Campaign - November 10 and 11

• Stuff, stamp and seal envelopes

Here are some ways you can help:

• Read to children
• Assist with learning activities
• Minor painting & construction projects
• Serve as a guest speaker at EFS trainings
• Assist at EFS events
• Answer phones, record messages, place phone orders
• Assist with mailings
• Help with filing & other clerical work

We're always open to new ideas for volunteer involvement, too!
