Educational First Steps Urges Lawmakers and School Districts Not to Cut Early Childhood Education Funding
DALLAS, TX – January 25, 2011 – Texas legislators released a budget draft that makes significant cuts in public education funding. Educational First Steps (EFS) urges lawmakers to take another look at the budget and find ways to reduce the proposed cuts to early childhood education (ECE). EFS also encourages state school districts to take the steps necessary to continue funding early childhood education.

Bank of Texas Donates Tarrant County Office Space
FT. WORTH, TX – June 14, 2010 – Educational First Steps (EFS) works with existing child care centers to improve early childhood education for economically disadvantaged children. Based in north Texas, EFS recently expanded its services to include five child care centers in Ft. Worth. Bank of Texas donated office space at 309 West 7th Street, Suite 100 for EFS staff members. In addition, furnishings for the offices were donated by Barnes Oil and Gas.
